The History and Messages of Astrology with Denise Zingg – 6-20-15
May 24, 2015
As we continue to look at the many ways that we connect with the Divine, this week we look to the sky….and the moon and the stars, and the messages that they hold for us. Astrology has its roots in calendrical systems used to predict seasonal shifts and to interpret celestial cycles as sings of divine communications. Many cultures have attached importance to astronomical events, and the Indians, Chinese and Mayans developed elaborate systems for predicting terrestrial events from celestial observations. We’re going to be looking closer at the history and science of Astrology with a guest who has extensive experience understanding and interpreting astrological significance.
Denise Zingg has been studying Astrology for decades, and hand drew charts for years before computers. These days she uses a computer for creating astrological charts and the art of understanding and interpreting them comes with years of practice. She has given numerous private consultations as well as classes in Astrology through the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and in private homes and studios. Denise is also the Founder and Director of Spectrum School and Community Gallery in Racine, Wisconsin.
