This week we wrap up our series of shows exploring exciting developments in medicine that are worth knowing about, and that give us insight on new thinking about how to live a more full and healthy life. Our guest focuses not just on medicine for insuring overall health, but on the diet that we follow, and how it impacts the health of our heart. This cardiologist will share his personal story of changing his own diet to “walk the talk” on the information he shares with his patients on staying healthy.
Dr. Kevin Fullin is a Cardiologist at United Health System in Kenosha, Wisconsin and has been in practice for 35 years. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Fullin attended medical school at Ohio State University and did his residency and internships at the Medical College of Ohio.
Dr. Fullin speaks frequently on the benefits of a plant-based diet, after making a change in his personal diet in November, 2012. “The primary treatment,” Fullin advises, “actually is diet. It’s better treatment than anything we can do medically.”
